Chapter 208: The Rise Of The Black Sun [Part 1]
Chapter 208: The Rise Of The Black Sun [Part 1]
The Sovereign Die rolled a 4.
The power within it instantly manifested, shooting a beam of light toward the two golden cocoons, giving them its power.
Everyone watched with bated breath as the event unfolded before their eyes. None of them could explain what was happening.
However, Leone’s vassals, who had also gone through vassalship, weren’t as clueless. They had experienced this miracle before. Then again, even they had to admit that Brann’s ceremony seemed more amazing than theirs.
"It seems we’re about to have a very powerful ally," Kael said while playing with his beard. "As expected of our Great Chieftain. He never fails to amaze me."
Ulric, Jason, and Otto all nodded their heads in agreement.
They watched with excitement as the light of the two golden cocoons dimmed a bit.
Suddenly, a faint cracking sound reached their ears.
The two golden cocoons soon broke apart, and from them emerged Brann and Boris, who definitely looked different from their past appearances.
Brann now looked like he was in his early thirties. His body exuded a power that made Leone’s vassals immediately understand that he had become stronger than them.
Much stronger!
Even Jason, currently the Aslan Tribe’s strongest warrior, could only look at Brann in shock. The other party’s transformation surpassed all of his expectations.
"...Is that really Brann?" Oswald asked in disbelief.
"What the..." Garen blinked, completely at a loss for words after seeing the Chieftain of the Stormhorn Tribe look younger than before.
"Can’t you all feel it?" Duncan, the strongest warrior among the three of them, looked at Brann in disbelief. "Brann has grown very strong all of a sudden. From what I can tell, he’s even stronger than Ulric now!"
Godwin, Hagen, and Malik were also in disbelief. After all, all three of them were powerful warriors in their own right.
In fact, they were all Rank 4 powerhouses, stronger than even Leone’s Vassals. Yet, a glance was enough to tell them that Brann had also reached their level, making their expressions turn solemn.
"I see..." Malik muttered. "So this is one of the trump cards he was talking about."
Hagen, who was right beside him, nodded in agreement. "This kid is indeed full of surprises. No wonder Gundar favors him."
If Leone truly had the power to give someone a blessing like this, then wouldn’t this make every member of the Aslan Tribe absolute powerhouses?
Hagen pondered for a bit before tossing this thought to the side. If Leone could really create strong warriors like this without paying a price, then the entirety of the Aslan Tribe would have all become powerful warriors.
They had subtly assessed the warriors of the Aslan Tribe earlier. They were stronger than the average barbarian warriors, sure, but that was it.
They had no absolute powerhouses, except for the ’Orc Warlord’ they had seen earlier.
Although it would give them a bit of trouble, the three high-ranking chieftains believed that they would win against Logan in a one-on-one battle if they fought in a battle of attrition.
However, little did they know that this wasn’t the limit of Leone’s vassalship ceremony.
"What the..." Leone, who was viewing Brann’s and Boris’ stats, couldn’t help but be surprised when he saw their Status Pages.

Since Leone had rolled a 4 in the Sovereign Die, all of Brann’s stat parameters were at a flat 400.
The young man also noticed that Brann’s Prestige Class, The Black Sun, was Mythic.
If Daedalus’ ranking system was to be believed, it was higher than Legendary Rank but a level below the Divine Rank.
It was an extremely powerful class, and it would definitely serve Leone well in the future.
As for Boris... the Raptor had also gotten a massive upgrade.
It had now become a Raptor Sovereign, and its grade was now Legendary. Not only that, but all of its stats had increased by 400 as well.
According to Daedalus, if Boris hadn’t joined Brann in pledging its allegiance to him, it wouldn’t have gotten any benefits from its Master’s vassalship.
The Raptor was incredibly happy with its newfound strength. After all, this buff had officially made it the strongest monster within Grimjaw Mountain, surpassing even Astravor.
"My Liege, may I please show you my true power?" Brann asked in a volume only Leone could hear.
Right now, he felt incredibly powerful. However, there was still a way for him to become stronger.
He wanted to show everyone, including the Orcs and their guests, that they would have to think twice if they wished to look down on the Aslan Tribe.
"Are you talking about Fusion?" Leone gave Boris a side-long glance.
"Yes," Brann answered. "I know this is supposed to be one of our trump cards, but showing this to the other tribes also has benefits, especially to the Orcs."
After gaining this power, Brann finally understood Leone’s true potential. If the Orcs were to also gain such powers, then... the Aslan Tribe would become a force to be reckoned with.
Though, in order to do that, he must first show Logan that he was no longer the strongest warrior in Grimjaw Mountain.
The Orcs had indeed become their ally. But unless the Aslan Tribe could prove that they were stronger, there was still a chance they would take this alliance for granted.
"Very well," Leone replied. "I permit it."
"Thank you, My Liege." Brann bowed respectfully towards his King.
Instead of calling him Great Chieftain like the rest of the Aslan Tribe, Brann decided to be different and address Leone as his Liege Lord.
Actually, he should be calling him Your Majesty or King. Yet, Brann also understood that Leone didn’t wish to be referred to as "Your Majesty." At least, not for now.
So, he chose the next best thing, and that was My Liege.
"Boris, let’s do it," Brann said, prompting the Raptor Sovereign to lower its head as it acknowledged its Master’s command.
The two were then bathed with a radiant light as the power of the Fusion skill manifested.
A moment later, Brann reappeared. However, he looked very different.
He was now at least three meters tall, and his hands had turned into claws. He also had a tail behind his back, and the strength oozing out of his body made the Orcs, especially Logan, narrow their eyes.
Rasta, on the other hand, looked visibly shaken. The elder Orcs also felt the same. They suddenly remembered a legend that had been passed down from one generation to the next.
A story that they thought was only a myth. But the scene before them made them think that maybe, just maybe, that story was true.
While they were reeling from the shock of this discovery, Brann pointed at Logan.
"Can I borrow your face?" Brann asked. "The ground at the base of the mountain is dirty. I’ll use your face to sweep it clean."
Logan could instinctively tell that the human... no, the human-monster hybrid in front of him was dangerous.
Even so, he was an Orc Champion. He wouldn’t refuse a challenge, especially from someone from the Aslan Tribe!
"Sure," Logan replied in a serious tone. "Let’s fight."
Without any hesitation, he jumped off the fortress. Brann said nothing and simply responded by following closely behind him.
The two planned to duke it out at the base of the mountain, but Leone already knew the outcome of this battle.
Daedalus had shown him the Status Page of Brann, who received the full buffs from the passives of his Mythical Prestige Class.
At the moment, all of Brann’s stats were increased by 150%.
Just a glance at his raw stats was enough for Leone to understand that Brann, in his Black Sun Raptor Sovereign form, had already surpassed Logan.

"Are you ready, Logan?" Brann asked calmly.
"I was born ready!" Logan roared. "Come! Our battle will be legendary!"
And so, a legendary battle started. One that the Aslan Tribe, as well as the other tribes who were there to witness it, would never forget in their lifetime.
