Chapter 510 Punisher
Chapter 510 Punisher
The big guy sitting in the passenger seat had a flat top haircut, an ugly face, and wore an earring on his left ear: "Kid, you think you’re something just because you’re driving a fancy car? Get lost, or I’ll beat you to death."
The driver, who had a scar on his cheek and eyebrows slanting inward, looked extremely fierce. He leered at Jenny and let out a wolf whistle.
"Pretty girl, why not hang out with us? Don’t mind that we don’t drive fancy cars, we have money too. Stick with us, and you’ll eat well and live richly."
Jenny glared at the scar-faced guy with disgust and spat out the window.
The driver cursed viciously: "You bitch, I gave you a chance, and you spit at me. Pull over, or I’ll wreck your car."
Xu Xiangbei pulled over to the side of the road, got out of the car, and walked over slowly: "What do you want? Looking to fight?"
The two big guys had a predatory gleam in their eyes. The one with the earring whispered, "Boss, let’s knock this kid out and steal his Porsche."
The scar-faced guy smirked evilly in agreement: "Not only will we take his car, but we’ll also grab that beauty and then drive somewhere deserted for some fun..."
The two of them let out a pleased cackle, got out of the car, and approached Xu Xiangbei from both sides.
"Kid, you picked the wrong day to mess with us, don’t blame us."
As they got close to Xu Xiangbei, they simultaneously pulled out gleaming wrenches from their pockets, raising them high to smash his skull.
However, to their surprise, Xu Xiangbei’s hands moved like lightning, grabbing their wrists. They felt his grip was even harder than the iron wrenches they held.
Xu Xiangbei’s eyes flashed with anger: "You burned my Emperor’s Pavilion and now want to steal my car and girlfriend? You have some nerve. If I don’t teach you a lesson, who knows how many people you’ll harm."
Hearing Xu Xiangbei mention the burning of his Emperor’s Pavilion made both big guys’ faces change instantly. Realizing the situation was bad, they understood that Xu Xiangbei hadn’t run into them by chance, but had tracked them down.
Before burning the Emperor’s Pavilion, they had heard that the owner, Xu Xiangbei, was someone not to be trifled with, so they stole a car to commit the crime, never expecting to be caught just after leaving the city.
Nervously, they asked, "You, are you the owner of the Emperor’s Pavilion, Xu Xiangbei?"
"That’s right, it’s me."
A clear sound of bone breaking echoed. Xu Xiangbei crushed the bones in their wrists, making them shriek miserably, the wrenches dropping to the ground.
"Tell me, who sent you to burn my Emperor’s Pavilion?"
The two big guys turned pale with pain but refused to reveal the mastermind behind them. A wicked glint flashed in their eyes. Though their right wrist bones were shattered, their left hands could still move.
With their left hands, they each pulled out a gleaming dagger from their pockets, thrusting it at Xu Xiangbei.
Xu Xiangbei sneered, "I planned to leave you one hand, but such vicious guys can’t keep even one hand."
With a flick of his wrist, Xu Xiangbei grabbed their left wrists, applying slight pressure. The pain made both big guys drop their daggers.
The big guys jerked their arms and struggled hard, trying to free themselves from Xu Xiangbei’s grip, but his fingers were like iron clamps, tightening the more they struggled, making escape impossible.
Realizing Xu Xiangbei’s terrifying power, the shadows of their right wrists being crushed loomed again. The ferocity in their eyes vanished, replaced by despair, fear, and sorrow.
Their actions in begging for mercy unexpectedly mirrored each other. As if synchronized, they dropped to their knees in unison, tears streaming down: "Boss, spare us, at least leave us one hand."
A hint of a cold, almost imperceptible smile crossed Xu Xiangbei’s lips: "It’s too late for that."
Another clear sound of bone breaking came forth as Xu Xiangbei crushed their left wrist bones too, leaving the two big guys writhing in agony on the ground.
Jenny also got out of the car. Without stopping Xu Xiangbei, she said with a smile, "Sometimes indulging evil is helping it thrive. I’ve checked their identities. These two have five counts of robbery, broke one person’s leg, crippled another’s arm, and fractured yet another’s skull. They’re truly vicious criminals, deserving every bit of this."
Xu Xiangbei crouched down, coldly looking at the big guys lying on the ground: "This isn’t over. Tell me who sent you, or your legs..."
A cruel smile curled Xu Xiangbei’s lips again. He gently touched their legs as if selecting vegetables at a market, squeezing and tapping, murmuring occasionally: "Sturdy, quite sturdy. Breaking this will take more force than breaking an arm."
Having witnessed Xu Xiangbei’s appalling and ruthless methods, the two of them lost their nerve, breaking into hysterical cries: "Please, I’ll tell you everything, just don’t break my legs, I’ll tell you everything."
Xu Xiangbei took out his phone, pressed the record button: "Who sent you to burn my Emperor’s Pavilion? Tell me everything about how it was done."
Even before the two big guys confessed, Xu Xiangbei had someone in mind, but he wanted to hear it confirmed.
"Lu Hong sent us."
Xu Xiangbei sneered disdainfully, "As expected, this Lu Hong knows all sorts, from every walk of life, able to hire hitmen and find thugs. I’m only more impressed by him."
Jenny knew who Lu Hong was, and also knew Lu Hong was merely a subordinate of Lu Jingyun. With a frown, she asked, "Are you saying last night’s assassination attempt and the arson were orchestrated by Lu Jingyun?"
"Officer Jenny, you don’t believe it? Lu Jingyun is the Earth Sea shipping tycoon, worth billions, a public company president. Why would he do such sordid things?"
Jenny sighed, "It’s not that I don’t believe you. I just believe in evidence. Even with these two’s confessions, it only implicates Lu Hong. Without any hard evidence, their words alone can’t convict Lu Hong, let alone Lu Jingyun."
Xu Xiangbei sneered, "I’m not hoping the law will convict them. I just want to know who my enemy is. Sometimes the law can’t punish the wicked, but that doesn’t mean they can go unpunished, because someone will always bring them to justice, someone will always punish them."
Realizing Xu Xiangbei intended to seek revenge on Lu Jingyun, Jenny said helplessly, "I warn you, just because you’re skilled doesn’t mean you can be the punisher. I’ll find evidence to convict them, but you have to give me time."
